Description

Product Overview

Four combs of different types in one set, covering the jobs a single comb cannot. Detangling, sectioning, styling and finishing each want a different tooth spacing, and using the wrong one is the most common cause of avoidable breakage at home.

All four have smooth, rounded teeth that glide rather than catch, and they are light enough to hold comfortably through a long styling session.

Key Benefits

  • The right comb for each job instead of forcing one to do everything
  • Smooth rounded teeth detangle without pulling or scratching
  • Clean sectioning, which is what makes home styling and colouring look tidy
  • Comfortable grip and good control
  • Suits straight, curly, thick and thin hair
  • Home or professional salon use

Which Comb Does What

  • Wide tooth — detangling, and the only one that should go near wet hair.
  • Fine tooth — smoothing and finishing dry hair, and getting a sharp parting.
  • Tail comb — the pointed handle is for sectioning cleanly when colouring or setting.
  • Styling comb — a mixed spacing for everyday combing and shaping.

Comb From the Ends Up

The single habit that saves the most hair. Start at the last few inches, work the tangles out there, then move up an inch and repeat, and again, until you can draw the comb from root to tip without resistance. Starting at the roots gathers every tangle in the hair into one knot at the bottom and then drags it out by force.

Be especially careful when hair is wet. Wet hair stretches under tension and snaps far more easily than dry hair — use a wide-tooth comb, never a fine one, and never a brush.

Keeping Them Clean

Combs collect oil, product and skin, and a dirty comb puts all of it straight back into clean hair. Pull the loose hair out after each use and wash them in warm soapy water every couple of weeks, then dry them properly. It takes two minutes and makes a visible difference to how clean hair stays.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which one should I use on wet hair?

The wide-tooth, always. A fine comb dragged through wet hair is the fastest way to break it.

Are they suitable for professional use?

Yes — the set covers the standard salon comb types, which is why it works as well behind a chair as at home.

Will they cause static?

Any plastic comb can generate some static in dry air. Combing after a little leave-in or a drop of serum, or choosing a wooden comb for finishing, deals with it.
